Meet Ciarra Ann – Founder of Forever Braiders
I started Forever Braiders with a simple belief: when youth are given the tools to learn how to master a skill, become experts in their craft, and believe in themselves, they can transform their lives and their communities.
Growing up, I saw how many young people had incredible creativity but lacked the resources, mentorship, and financial knowledge to turn that talent into opportunity. Hair braiding was always more than a style — it was a culture, a tradition, and a path to independence. I knew that if I could create a program where youth could learn professional braiding techniques while also building confidence and entrepreneurial skills, the impact would ripple far beyond the salon chair.

That’s how Forever Braiders was born: a nonprofit that blends technical training, personal development, and business education into one powerful program

Since the beginning, my vision has been to:

• Equip youth with professional braiding and self-care skills.

• Teach financial literacy and entrepreneurship so they can build sustainable income.

• Create spaces of mentorship where confidence and community thrive.
   

Every class we hold, every kit we hand out, and every certificate we award is a step toward empowering the next generation to stand tall, braid boldly, and pursue their dreams with pride.
Forever Braiders is not just my story — it’s the story of every young person who walks through our doors and leaves with a skill, a plan, and a renewed belief in their own greatness.
