Toledo, OH – Forever Braiders, a community-based initiative in Toledo, Ohio, is proud to announce the launch of its FREE Hair Braiding Course for youth, designed to empower the next generation with valuable skills, professional opportunities, and cultural pride.
The program offers hands-on training in braiding styles such as box braids, knotless braids, cornrows, goddess braids, and bohemian braids, while also educating participants on braid license requirements, client care, and how to become a certified braider in Ohio.

“Our mission at Forever Braiders is simple: to take something deeply rooted in our culture — braiding — and turn it into a pathway for education, entrepreneurship, and empowerment,” said Cee Cee Ann, Founder of Forever Braiders. “We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to develop professional skills, build confidence, and create income for themselves and their families.”
Addressing the Demand for Skilled Braiders
The popularity of protective styles like box braids, knotless braids, and braid extensions has fueled a growing demand for professional, certified braiders. Forever Braiders equips youth with:
Beginner lessons: how to braid hair for beginners, boxer braid tutorials, braid crown techniques
Advanced techniques: braid extensions, how to braid in hair extensions, cornrow braids how to do it
Professional guidance: how to become a professional braider, hair braiding certification online, and natural hair braiding license pathways in Ohio
By providing free access to training, Forever Braiders lowers barriers for young people to enter the beauty industry — especially those who may not have the resources to pay for traditional cosmetology school.
A Pathway to Certification and Careers
Forever Braiders also guides participants through the steps of getting a braiding license online, applying for a hair braiding license near me, and understanding braiding certification requirements. With Ohio requiring either a Boutique Service Registration (BTQR) or a 450-hour Natural Hair Stylist license, the program ensures students are informed and prepared to meet state regulations.
“Braiding isn’t just about styling hair — it’s about building futures,” said founder, Cee Cee Ann. “With Forever Braiders, we’re turning creativity into careers.”
